Turnpike Widening from North of Exit 8, in Nashua, to South of Exit 10 in Merrimack
Recent Activities (as of early March 2026)
Southbound
- No work at this area.
Northbound
- Median underdrain south of the bridge has been completed.
- Median drainage installation north of the bridge is ongoing.
Exit 10
- No work at this area.
Pennichuck Brook Bridge
- Demolition of the old northbound bridge structure is complete.
- New piles have been installed on the northern abutment.
- Excavation has been completed for the new footing for the southern abutment.
Upcoming Work (March 2026 to April 2026)
Southbound
- Minimal work is expected.
Northbound
- Drainage installation in the median will continue to the north of the bridge.
Exit 10
- Minimal work is expected.
Pennichuck Brook Bridge
- Piles will be installed at the southern abutment.
- Forming and reinforcing steel installation for the northern abutment will begin.
General Traffic Implications
Spring 2026
- Rolling roadblocks, shoulder closures and night work, as needed, for temporary roadwork, as traffic allows.
