Project 13761B
Baboosic Lake Road and Wire Road Bridge Replacements over the F. E. Everett Turnpike (FEET) NB and SB
This project will replace the bridges that carry Baboosic Lake Road and Wire Road over the Turnpike to accommodate the planned widening of the Turnpike from two to three lanes in each direction. The construction work includes bridge construction, roadway approach construction, retaining wall construction, and construction of stormwater quality treatment facilities. Project completion is scheduled for September 2028.
Recent Activities (as of early August 2026)
Baboosic Lake Road
- Traffic has been shifted to the northern diversion.
- Drainage work has commenced on the western bridge approach.
Wire Road
- Sheet piles for cofferdams have been installed on the eastern side of both abutments.
FEET
- Continued constructing BMP 1054 and lining with stone fill.
Upcoming Work (August 2026 to September 2026)
Baboosic Lake Road
- Continue drainage work on western side of bridge.
- Construct roadway widening to the right of centerline.
- Install cofferdams for the southern diversion.
Wire Road
- Install anchor and walers for cofferdams at both abutments.
FEET
- Continue BMP 1054 construction.
General Traffic Implications
Summer 2026
- Rolling roadblocks, shoulder closures and night work, as needed, for temporary roadwork, as traffic allows.
