Turnpike Widening from Exit 12 (Bedford Road) to the Bedford Toll Plaza”

Recent Activities – As of early July 2024

• Northbound – Removed median rain, existing pavement and LRS.
– Began excavation for the median portion of the new Dumpling Brook cross pipe.

• Southbound – Paved, striped, and installed Guardrail and swapped traffic into Phase 2.
– Began pavement removal and excavation for the median portion of the new Dumpling Brook cross pipe.

Upcoming Work – July 2024 to August 2024

• Northbound – Continue excavation and install of the Dumpling Brook cross pipe.
– Begin new median drainage installation.

• Southbound – Continue removing pavement.
– Continue excavation and installation of the Dumpling Brook cross pipe.
– Begin new median drainage installation.

General Traffic Implications

• Summer 2024 – Rolling roadblocks and shoulder closures, as needed, for temporary roadwork, as traffic allows
